Meet the Chester Pike Animal Hospital Staff

Dr. Andrei Gal

Dr Gal

Dr. Andrei Gal, has more than 30 years experience. He graduated
from the Veterinary Faculty of Bucharest and came to the United
States in 1976. He studied and prepared with the students of the
University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School and not only passed
the Pennsylvania rigorous licensing tests, but also went on and
successfully obtained licenses for the states of Massachusetts,
Georgia, and Washington DC. He worked for 10 years at West Park
Animal Hospital, then 8 years at the “busy” Mt. Airy Animal Hospital,
accumulating precious clinical and surgical experience. At the same
time he ran one of the first House Calls practices in the Philadelphia
area, a practice that still continues on a more limited basis. Dr. Gal
took over and acquired the Chester Pike Animal Hospital (CPAH) in
1996 from Dr. Hansen, a veterinarian who has practiced at the same
location for 30 years. Dr. Gal’s philosophy for CPAH is to provide
outstanding Customer Satisfaction and excellent service.

Karen Sweeney
Office Manager
Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist

Karen

Karen is, according to clients, the sweetest and friendliest person

they have ever met.  Our logo "The Friendly Place" is easily

understood when one meets Karen.  If there is a problem to be

solved, she will go out of her way to solve it with a smile.  But one

particular trait that stands out with Karen is the magic chemistry

she has with pets. Most of them naturally have anxieties coming to

the vet, but when Karen starts talking to them, miraculously they

relax and get comfortable, even throwing kisses (doggy licks).

Shari Strolli
Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist

Shari asked to volunteer at the request of one of the employees

at CPAH. She turned out to be one of those rare "hidden treasures"

as she quickly gained Dr. Gal's trust and friendship. Her dedication

and passion for her work has no equal . Shari has a unique personality.

If you cannot feel at ease with Shari, you cannot get along with

anyone.  Her two Mastiffs and Momo, the Boston Terrier have a special

spot in her heart.  Along with her daughter Carm and her husband Vince,

all compete for her esteemed attention.

Allison Tansky
Veterinarian Assistant and Receptionist

The newest addition to our staff, Allison Tansky. She has

impressed everyone from the beginning with her enthusiasm,

positive attitude and quick learning ability. We are looking forward

to share more fun times and veterinary knowledge with her.
